From the yard to the road

Before he ever opened a toolbox for customers, Charlie spent years as a yard spotter hooking and dropping hundreds of trailers. For about three of those years he was the foreman, training new drivers. That's where he learned what a broken-down unit actually costs a carrier, and how much a driver needs someone to explain what's going on in plain words.

He went to diesel tech school, then went out on his own with a service truck and a simple rule: find what actually failed and fix that. No parts cannon, no guessing on your dime.

What that means for you

• Diagnosis first. Hands-on time across Cummins, Detroit, PACCAR, Cat, Volvo/Mack and Navistar, and real diagnostic software on the truck.
• A straight answer. If it's safe to run, you'll know. If it isn't, you'll know that too, and why.
